'R' train subway stop
Directions to Our Lady of Peace:
1. Take any express train (2, 3, 4, N, D, Q, B) to the Atlantic Av-Barclays
Center station in Brooklyn.
2. Transfer via underground passageway to the "Bay Ridge-95 Street" Brooklyn bound
'R' train (not Manhattan bound). (Also, be sure it's a local, sometimes 'N' or 'D'
trains run express on the 'R' track.)
3. Go one stop on the 'R' train to Union Street. Go up the stairs to the street
(4th Ave) and keep walking on 4th Ave. in the same direction from the stairs you
came up until you come to Carroll St. (one and one half short blocks).
4. Turn right on Carroll Street, and continue about a half block, Our Lady of Peace
will be on the left.
Some extra information:
Travel time from 34th St. Penn Station to OLP is about 20 to 35 minutes
using the 'D'train (fastest). If you take the 'F' train, get off at
Carroll Street / Smith Street station, or 9th Street and 4th Ave. It's about
a 10 minute walk either way to OLP.
From the #7 line, transfer to the #4 IRT, go to the Atlantic Ave. station,
and transfer to the 'R' line.
You might consider the 'Q' line and switch to the 'R' train at Dekalb Ave.
It may be faster with fewer stops.
Finally, there's the 'A' express train to Jay Street / Metro Tech station,
and then transfer to the 'R' train to Union St.
If this is your first trip to OLP, your travel time will, of course vary, so
please give yourself extra time.
